A Newborn Session with Eden's Focus
Capturing those early moments with your newborn is a truly magical experience, and at Eden's Focus, we ensure every session is memorable and special. Here's everything you need to know about booking and preparing for your newborn session.
Our newborn sessions are designed to be as relaxed and comfortable as possible. Each session lasts between 2 to 4 hours, allowing us to work at your baby’s pace. We follow their lead, taking breaks for feeding, soothing, and adjusting poses to ensure their comfort every step of the way. Safety is our top priority, and we remain close to your baby throughout the session.
Eden's Focus operates from a beautifully designed in-home studio located in Broadalbin, a small town not far from Saratoga. The cozy atmosphere provides a comfortable and intimate setting for your session. To ensure everyone’s comfort, we recommend bringing a maximum of two adults to the session and no additional children. Our studio is kept at a cozy 75+ degrees to keep your baby warm and their skin tone even throughout the session. For your comfort, please dress in layers, as the temperature may feel warm while we work to keep your baby cozy.
To make the most of your session, please consider bringing the following items:
Drinks and Snacks: For your convenience, having drinks and snacks on hand can make the session more enjoyable for you.
Extra Bottles: Babies often eat more during or directly after sessions, so extra bottles are a good idea.
Lotion and Hairbrush: If you use lotion for your baby or if they have hair, bringing these items can be helpful.
Pacifier and Burp Cloths: If your baby uses a pacifier, please bring it along. Also, don’t forget burp cloths!
During your newborn session, you can expect a variety of beautiful and thoughtful setups. We use a range of props and backgrounds to create stunning images that reflect your family’s unique style. Our goal is to capture your baby’s personality and the tender moments you share.

How long will it take to receive my photos?
Sneak peeks are delivered within 48 hours of the session, and the final gallery is delivered within 3 weeks of the session. We are always so excited to share!

How do you ensure safety?
Safety is always our main priority during sessions. Unlike other photographers, we never do a newborn session alone. When you book Eden's Focus you are booking a photographer & an assistant to help safely handle your baby. We are constantly using our training to monitor baby's breathing & circulation, and watching for signs of distress. We follow baby's lead, and we never place babies in unfamiliar or untested poses.
What if my baby is fussy?
Don’t worry if your baby is fussy. We are experienced in handling fussy babies and will take breaks as needed to feed, soothe, and comfort them. Our goal is to ensure your baby’s comfort and capture the best possible images.
